Tanta University Continues Child University Program Activities at Faculty of Computer and Information


   Tanta University continued implementing the activities of its Child University Program at the Faculty of Computers and Information, as part of the university’s efforts to develop children’s intellectual and creative skills and introduce them to the university environment through an integrated educational and practical experience.
  The activities were held for the seventh and eighth stages of the program at Faculty of Computer and Information under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University, and under the supervision and attendance of Prof. Mahmoud Salim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Nancy Al-Hefnawy, Acting Dean of the Faculty.
   The event included welcoming participating children and their parents in the presence of Dr. Omnia Al-Barbary, Acting Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Ayda Nasr, Acting Head of the Information Technology Department and Coordinator of the Child University Program at the Faculty; and Mr. Khalid Salama, Secretary-General of the Faculty.
   During the activities, Prof. Nancy Al-Hefnawy delivered an age-appropriate introduction to the importance of modern technology, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, highlighting their growing role across various aspects of everyday life.
   Dr. Ayda Nasr, coordinator of the Child University Program at the Faculty, also provided the children with a simplified introduction to data security and the importance of Prompt Engineering in software development.
   The program featured an interactive practical component, during which the children received hands-on training using a number of digital tools and applications, including Zoom, PictoBlox, and Google Forms.
   During his inspection tour, Prof. Mahmoud Salim, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Nancy Al-Hefnawy, followed up on the activities and assessed the children’s engagement with the practical exercises. He also checked their ability to use the computers and laboratory equipment at the faculty. He expressed his satisfaction with the children’s quick learning, enthusiasm, and the knowledge and skills they acquired throughout the training day.
  The activities concluded in a positive and engaging atmosphere, with the children and their parents expressing their appreciation for the excellent organization and diverse activities. They emphasized that the program provided an educational experience combining knowledge, practical application, and creativity, reflecting the leading community role of the university in investing in human development and identifying and nurturing talented young people.
