Tanta University has launched its initial trial version of a specialized application through which secondary school students can book the appointments of attendance in the coordination office. It aims to streamline the process of registering the preferences, control congestion, and make procedures more efficient for students; in addition to improving both time management and service quality.
For his part, Prof. Mohammed Hussein, Acting Tanta University President and Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, affirmed that the application was designed in the light of implementing the national strategy of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and out of keenness of the university on updating new services to continue its leadership in using digital technology and to provide outstanding services to the citizens. He added that the application is considered a qualitative leap in managing and organizing the work of the coordination office. In addition, it limits overcrowding and decreases the waiting period. Prof. Mohammed Hussein thanked Prof. Nancy Al-Hefnawy, Acting Faculty Dean; Prof. Osama Ghoneim, Coordinator of Student Activities and Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research; and the students who contributed to designing the application.
Moreover, Prof. Nancy Al-Hefnawy asserted that the application allows the students to register the appointments to go to the determined place in the coordination office after fulfilling the main information and the personal information to facilitate communication with the students. She added that the application ensures speed and accuracy in organizing work procedures.
