Faculty of Computer and Information Organizes a Symposium Titled, “Consolidating Identity and Belonging” in Cooperation with the General Information Authority, Gharbia Media Complex


   Under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, Tanta University President, and Prof. Nancy Al-Hefnawy, Acting Faculty Dean, and under supervision and in attendance of Dr. Omnia Al-Barbary, Acting Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Osama Ghonaim, Acting Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Faculty of Computer and Information at Tanta University organized a symposium titled, “Consolidating Identity and Belonging”, in joint cooperation with the General Information Authority, Gharbia Media Complex.
   The symposium was delivered by M.G. Dr. Mohammed Mahrous, holder of a Ph.D. in Sociology and a Ph.D. in Occupational Safety, Health, and Petrochemical Fire Safety, and former Head of the West Delta Branch for Combating Cybercrimes.
    It was attended by media representatives from Gharbia Media Complex:
•    Media Professional Mr. Hazem Abdul-Samad
•    Media Professional Mrs. Nayyera Al-Kashef
•    Media Professional Ms. Shaimaa Mazrou’
   In her speech, Prof. Nancy Al-Hefnawy welcomed the attendees, extending her sincere thanks and appreciation for organizing such purposeful activities. She emphasized that these events reflect the keen interest of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, in supporting youth and building a generation that understands the nation’s history, is aware of current events, and possesses the ability to form a future vision.
   For his part, M.G. Dr. Mohammed Mahrous also stressed that organizing such educational symposiums aims to raise awareness and enhance national sentiment among Egyptian youth, especially university students, who represent the future and real hope of the homeland. He affirmed that the Egyptian people have always been the first line of defense against all attempts targeting the Egyptian state.
   At the end of the symposium, a discussion and Q&A session was opened with the students, followed by taking the commemorative photo that concluded the event.
