Faculty of Computer and Information Participates in the Events of the Conference Entitled, “The Role of IT in Developing the State’s Sectors”

Faculty of Computer and Information at Tanta University participated in the events of the conference, “The Role of IT in Developing the State’s Sectors” with a delegation from academic staff headed by Prof. Nancy Al-Hefnawy, Acting Faculty Dean, and formed from Dr. Omnia Al-Barbary, Acting Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Ahmed Salim, Dr. Shaimaa Hagrass, Dr. Al-Shaimaa Hamdy, and Dr. Arwa Abul Wafa.

The conference was held under auspices of Prof. Ayman Ashor, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and it was organized by Computer and Informatics Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities.

The conference was inaugurated by Prof. Mustafa Ref’at, Secretary General of the SCU and the Honorary Chairman of the Conference. The inauguration session was attended by Prof. Eman Tharwat, Head of Computer and Informatics Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities; Prof. Mohammed Hashem Abdul Aziz, Secretary of the Committee; and a number of leaderships of the SCU; with participation of 24 Egyptian Faculties of Computer and Information.

On the sidelines of the conference, Prof. Nancy Al-Hefnawy was honored as a member of the organizing committee. The conference lasted for two days and included 12 sessions where about 100 experts of technology tackled several topics and pivots related to digital transformation, cybersecurity, smart cities, smart transformation, technological solutions, digital media, and AI
