Launch of the First Scientific Day of the Information Technology Department at Faculty of Computer and Information


   Under the patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University; Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Nancy Al-Hefnawy, Acting Dean of the Faculty; and in attendance of Prof. Omnia Al-Barbary, Acting Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Prof. Ayda Nasr, Acting Head of Information Technology Department, the Information Technology Department organized its “First Scientific Day” in a distinguished academic atmosphere, with the participation of academic staff, students, researchers, and alumni.
   The event began with a welcoming speech by Prof. Nancy Al-Hefnawy, Acting Dean of the Faculty, who welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of organizing scientific meetings and academic events to exchange knowledge and expertise, encouraging scientific research, and providing opportunities to explore the latest developments in the field of information technology. She also highlighted the role of such events in supporting students and researchers and enhancing their academic and scientific capabilities.
   The Scientific Day featured a series of diverse academic presentations addressing several contemporary topics in information technology, including computer networks, blockchain technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, Large Language Models (LLMs), image processing, and computer vision models.
   The scientific presentations were divided into two sessions, moderated by Dr. Marwa Hassan. The first session addressed topics including Digital Twin for Management of Computer Networks, Improving Blockchain System via Smart Contracts, A Semantic Detection Framework for Prompt Injection Attacks, as well as techniques for detecting image manipulation.
   The second session focused on a range of topics related to artificial intelligence, including Enhancing the Reliability of LLM Models Through Hallucination Detection, Enhancing Text Representation in Generative AI Models, and Techniques for Identifying Fake Images.
   The Scientific Day provided an important platform for presenting recent ideas and research, exchanging expertise among participants, and exploring the latest trends and applications in information technology. It also contributed to strengthening the culture of scientific research and innovation within the department.
   At the conclusion of the event, Prof. Nancy Al-Hefnawy extended her sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone involved in organizing the Scientific Day and to all participants.
