An International Opportunity for Engineering and Technology Students in Energy Transition, Sustainability, and Decarbonization
The Supreme Council of Universities has announced the launch of the Clean Tech African Innovation Program 2026, in collaboration with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), ElSewedy University of Technology, Schneider Electric, and ElSewedy, under the theme of Energy Transition and Decarbonization.
The program is part of ongoing efforts to support innovation and technological advancement, develop university students’ capabilities, and enhance their participation in international educational and innovation initiatives.
The program aims to equip students with practical knowledge and skills in clean technology, energy transition, sustainability, and decarbonization through an integrated learning journey. It will culminate in a final competition, during which participants will present their innovative projects and ideas to a panel of experts and specialists.
The program targets students from African universities, particularly those enrolled in engineering and related technology disciplines. Applicants must have completed at least their first year of university studies and possess proficiency in English. The required level of English proficiency was not specified in the announcement.
The program represents a valuable opportunity for students interested in clean technology, energy transition, sustainability, decarbonization, and technological innovation. It aims to strengthen their academic and practical skills and enhance their ability to develop innovative solutions to energy- and climate-related challenges.
In this regard, the Supreme Council of Universities has invited Egyptian universities to circulate the announcement among interested students and provide engineering and technology students with the opportunity to apply for and participate in this international educational and innovation experience.
