Under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University, and Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Nancy Al-Hefnawy, Acting Dean of Faculty of Computer and Information, along with vice deans of the faculty, extended their congratulations to the student/ Malak Alaa Sarhan, a fourth-year student in the Information Technology Department, who secured second place in the Ideal Student Competition at the university level for the academic year 2025/2026. The competition was held under the supervision of Dr. Magdy Wakwak, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the university, and Dr. Mohamed Al-Qassier, Director General of Youth Welfare, at the Talented Students Care Center at Sibirbay Campus.
The participation of students from Faculty of Computer and Information was under the support of Prof. Nancy Abbas Al-Hefnawy, Acting Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Osama Ghoneim, Acting Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and Student Activities Coordinator, with supervision by Dr. Adel Shahin, Director of the Youth Welfare Department, and the administrative team.
Prof. Al-Hefnawy stated that the mission of the faculty goes beyond graduating technically skilled professionals, emphasizing the importance of supporting student activities that develop leadership and creativity. She added that computer science students are capable of excelling in various fields and competitions.
It is worth noting that the competition featured 30 male and female students from different faculties across the university.
